Default konark sun temple

there is a great sun temple in india situated in the orrisa state, this temple has a different stories, when it was built at that time the granite stone was kept in the upper portion of the temple, because its, upper mount was not easily built-up. i have seen this temple long back. but this is marvelous one.
there are stories in pictures in carving on the wheels of the chariot of the temple.

there is an information in the wikipedia but i am unable to link that.

the idol in this temple has three dimensions early in the morning the idol looks very borned junior, in the noon it becomes very crazy or say more energetic and in the evening looks retire or tiredsome.

this is a very old monument, many people came here for research.

Google images yields several pictures of Kornak Sun temple. Use "kornak" as keyword for a search.

It's beautiful, and amazing, but I wouldn't consider the 13th century as "very old".

you are correct lianachan, i was just searching any scientific stories behind konark sun temple, actually it is a chariot monument which carved in single stone, and "cone" and "arcs" gives the name konark. many time it is learnt from peoples that when any ship goes near by the beach, where the temple is situated, the navigation system get disturbs due to the stone "granite" fixed in the top of the temple.

It certainly looks like a very interesting place. For an example of what I would consider "very old" - check my avatar. That stone circle is around 5,000 years old.

Which navigation system are we talking about? GPS? Radar? Compass? (Gyro or magnetic?)

Why would a stone disturb the navigation systems of ships miles away?
