i believe things can exist without being observed. it happens all the time. like the atom it existed far before who ever first looked at it through a lens.i dont understand the last part "and is it then known" if your talking about in its intirety.then.......we may think that we understand it completely but there maybe something more to it...but we may thing there is more to learn about it but actaully we all the knowledge of it that we could possably have....if that makes since. it makes since to me.kinda like caotic motion i was watching a special on tv and there were three pieces of wood, each of them were diff lengths and they were joined together at there ends so they could swing freely. a man picked up on the pieces of wood and droped it ( the wood was connected to a ..back board, thing) and it started swinging caotically in this "caotic motion" he said that "this is caotic motion, we can not predict the motion of the swinging wood" or something like that but! as them three pieces were swinging they(the wood) knew exactly where it was going. we did not because because we do not understand it completely so instead of finding the solution so we can intecipate the path of the swinging wood. we simply labled it as "caotic motion" oo yeah sorry about the spelling but im not even going to reads this thing over. but i hope this made since to some one...it makes since to me

knowledge isnt known until its thought.

That's kind of an obvious statement isn't it?

It isn't stated like that because it is a tautology (circular argument). Knowledge is defined as something that is known, therefor by its very definition knowledge must be known for it to be knowledge. It is like saying something that in order for something to be blue it must be blue. Obviously, it wouldn't be blue unless it was, in fact, blue. Similarly, something is not known unless it is known, and since knowledge is that which is known then knowledge must be known before it can be knowledge.

You really need to lay of the leaf, my friend. I'll give you a suggestion. Come up with the ideas while you are stoned, and immediately write them down on a piece of paper. When the pot has worn off, look at the piece of paper again. If it is still of interest, correct the spelling and grammar then post it here. Posting stoned makes it difficult for us to understand you and thus makes it difficult for us to give you the information you seek.

I took his statement to mean as for example "the cat is neither dead or alive(in the Schroedinger's cat experiment) until it has been seen to be alive or dead and then thought to be alive or dead and then that becomes knowledge.

what is knowledge anyway?
I posted this question on the JREF site and someone said that the forum couldn't 'support' such a difficult question.

so it must really be an important question.

Lots. That's what made him so special and able to break through. He saw ways that things could be that noone else could imagine.

Johnathan, I humbly submit to you that it is a Bad Idea (tm) to post your full legal name and place of residence on the internets.
