Default Study Proves Universe Created By Committee

Study Proves Universe Created By Committee

Quote:
Rather than verifying, as initially posited, that a single, omnipotent entity had fashioned a perfect universe in one sweep, then stuck around as a kind of maintenance engineer to fix any problems or issues that may arise due to technical imperfections in the original design, Pootle and Frick discovered that the universe was in fact created and managed by “a committee comprised of more than one, possibly very, very many entities with frequently divergent and incompatible goals”.

“Biodiversity is the primary stumbling block,” said Dr. Pootle. “Whoever created this cacophony of species would have had to be infinitely powerful and infinitely creative, but also infinitely schizophrenic to come up with the myriad different solutions to identical problems that the creators of the universe have. Either that, or we’re looking at a different kind of process altogether.”

Pootle? Wasn't he the one who proved the ten-color beach ball theorem? Or was that Footle?

Finally, a theory of the universe that makes perfect sense. I've worked in companies that modelled their management technique on this.

Pootle and Frick’s data thus puts the theoretical number of entities directly involved in the creation and ongoing design of the universe at roughly five times the total number of species on the planet Earth, at minimum.
Having been on many Work Teams, Committees, Sub-committees, Working Groups, Task Groups, etc. I would say Pootle and Frick have it exactly correct. It does nicely explain the role of angels, demons, demi-gods, sprites, spirts, etc. Maybe Greek Mythology had it exactly correct...

In attendence were myself and Working Group members Sunrise, Sunset, Aurora, Corona, Sunspot, and Bob (Photosphere was not able to attend because of family issues). Under Old Business we discussed the sub-committee's report on Chariot Maintenance Documentation - they are still reviewing the recommendations from the ISO 900 Working Group"

I think the real joke is that these are the kinds of findings we would get if the religions of the world ever did try to do anything serious together.

Reminds me of Peter O'Rourkes response to an impressionable young UN volunteer at a chaotic gathering of UN delegates. The UN staffer commented that the unruly, crowded, under-resourced gathering is what life would be like for everyone if 3rd world conditions prevailed universally.

O'Rourke's response was that quite to the contrary, that the non-productive pandemonium represents what the entire world would be like if the UN (in it's current form) was given real power and the chance to actually govern.
