consciousness and quantum mechanics
what is consciousness . how it can be explained by quantum mechanics. is our mind is a quantum computer?????????? { i have studied about it in a book by Mc Fedden but couldn't understand. }

Hi, welcome to the board.
is our mind is a quantum computer?? No. The mind is a neural network operating on a biochemical and electronic basis. Quantum mechanics underlies this as it does everything else, but a quantum computer operates on a much "lower" level. Quantum effects are basically blended or smeared out at the level our brains operate on - it's a bit like looking at your computer display and seeing a continuous image, which is really made up of discrete pixels.
