Default inventions

i thought up a good idea..or two ok. the first is a device that you can atach to a phone line that blick certain numbers you tell it to block and when i say block i mean the phone wont ring but this device will hold the memory of the numbers that called(the numbers that you blocked). the other idea is a remotcontrol beeper like what a phone has because you know people always lose there remote. the remote and lil pager should come together and the pager sould be able to go on your key ring, or have velcro on the back of it so you can have a permanent place for it and you wont loose the pager well what do ya'll think and do you all have any ideas of your own

The first invention will not work. Caller ID data is sent between the first and second ring, so you will always get at least one ring. The second invention already exists, and has for some time.

My phone has an option to disable the first ring. It's actually there, but it's silent.

what good is a phone that disables the first ring without my invention. all that would do is increse your chance of missing the call

It has your invention, or a form of it built in.
The call comes in, the phone doesn't ring the first time.
The caller ID info pops up.
If that number is on the ignore list, the phone never rings.
If it is not on the ignore list, the phone will ring out loud on the seconds ring with the caller ID info already shown.

As for what good it would do without the ignore feature. Probably none. It was built in to support the ignore feature.

I believe some phone companies already have the first invention as a premium service that you set up by dialing an activation code and the list of numbers you want blocked.

I did not do any searching around to find out if anyone offers an aftermarket or general consumer device that does call blocking. Like you might guess from the other responses it would be difficult but not impossible to come up with such a device.

Oh, never mind. I was going to get mad at you!

Use paragraphs and complete sentences. It works for me.

Use sentences. I don't know what you are saying, and I want to! I see bits and pieces that look interesting. Thanks, Johnathon.

Māori, you may not have noticed, but johnathan has mentioned that he's dyslexic.
He's not making fun of anyone but is trying to be understood.

No, they don't. The phone is right next to my bed, and in fact I tend to pick up before it's rung on the other end, because I pick up as soon as it rings.

I know you're dyslexic, but it doesn't feel to me like you're putting in any effort to overcome your poor sentence structure, and that's not just the dyslexia. I know. Half my family, plus my boyfriend and quite a few of my other friends, are dyslexic. It excuses bad spelling, but I've never really seen it have a bad effect on anyone's syntax.

well to tell you the truth...in my head i cant see a sentence. i cont use puncuations because i dont knoe where that all go and i know "your" isnt the correct spelling but i dont know how to spell it. i believe something is wrong with me. i have smoked pot(sorry) for far to long. another reason why...im stupid is because my father has Neurofibromatosis http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/n...bromatosis.htm
its a genetic disorder of the nervous system which create tumors through out his body. they protrude out. thousands of them and i have a 50% chance of getting it he has nf1. there is nf1 and nf2, in the case of nf2 the tumors will be on the inside of you. and in your brain....every where a nerv is. they can turn into cancer. it can make me blind deaf and dumb. paralise me or even kill me im not sure if i have it...but i have my suspishons.do yo uknow the elefant man this disease is a relative of it

spelling and punctuation doesn't bother me too much but it can make it hard to understand something.
