Default Worse case of thrill issues I've ever heard about.

How many of you folks would copy this guy's deeds and how many wouldn't do this at gun point? I think I'm one of the latter.

Wow. I've done two open sea scuba dives, in the clear waters off the Florida panhandle, as well as half a dozen reef snorkling trips and the biggest thing I've seen to date are 2-1/2' barracude and about a 300 lb grouper.

Absolutely captivating account, but no way, man, at least not in anything less protective than a mini-sub.

I'd go, but with the suit AND a cage of the necessary strength.

But those darn chiton-ringed tentacles would reach right through that cage... But with the right cage, you'd at least be free of the beak.

I think they mention the cage designed by the author has a fine mesh over the bars. Keeps out those pesty tenticles.

I've seen a show on the discovery channel about these Humboldt squid. If I had one of those armored suits I'd love to swim with them. Cephalopods are some of my most favorite animals and being able to swim with such large, beautiful, intelligent, and ferocious squid would be breathtaking, especially to have an encounter or "dance" like this fellow had.

I think even he referred to it as an "attack," and "wrestling until he became exhausted," not a dance.

Well, he did refer to him and the squid circling eachother and examining eachother visually and physically as a dance, thats why I said "dance", even though the squid attacked him a few times during this, I think I'd see even that as a good experience if I had all the proper armor on.
