Default The Farnborough International Airshow

From Monday 17 to Sunday 23 July 2006, aviation enthusiasts, families and the aerospace industry will be focused on one place - the 45th Farnborough International Airshow.
Public Visitors are welcome to the show on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July 2006. Gates open at 09.30am allowing plenty of time to visit the exhibition halls, outdoor activity zone and wander through the static aircraft park before the spectacle of the airshow begins.

The Farnborough International Airshow is the world's premier international aerospace trade show, attracting around 300,000 visitors every two years. A trade convention during the week, the show is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday.
With around 1200 exhibitors from 25 countries, this enormous show exhibits the latest in avionics and aerotechnology from around the world, while added attractions include daily displays from the Red Arrows.
The event includes about 200 aircraft on display, both static and flying, spanning right through the years to the Euro Fighter, as well as mock-ups of the two competition bids for the Joint Strike Fighter.

Ahh, memories. Went to it once as a kid in the 70's. Red Arrows, Harrier, Nimrod & a Vulcan I remember. Still have a programme somewhere for it (I hope!)
