Wouldn't a nice Google logo look nice over the fireplace.

Is it only me, or is the Wright flyer going backwards?

Of course it's going backwards. It's patterened after a duck, and like all canards, ducks do indeed fly backwards.

What they should do is develop even larger bills, fly forwards (this would take some serious rearranging of the feathers, I'm afraid), and use that bill like a giant rudder.

Alas, they must cope with the much smaller and less effective tail feathers, which lead to a surprising number of crash landings as they attempt to set down on slippery surfaces, such as ice.

I meant that on the google logo, it flies as if it's NOT a canard design, and that's backwards.

It's cool - if that were the front, the canards would be horizontal, not vertical. See here. You just can't see the front in the stylized illustration.

Ok, so it was just me.
I'd forgotten they put the rudder behind and only the elecator in front.
