Default The Wedding Cake

My nephew was married last month to an English girl. Her mom made the wedding cake (she does it professionally, so I think she gave herself a discount). The cake seems sort of topical for this Board:

When the time came, the bride's father, knife in hand, announced, "All right, everyone, it's now time to decapitate the cake."

Oh, it was a fruit cake, of course.

So that answers the big question... it's a large table top that holds up the turtle, and large wooden legs that hold up the table top, and a large floor that holds up the wooden legs, and a larger earth that holds up the floor. Hmmmm.

We need to keep Humphrey away from this thread. He might take issue with those elephants.

Gorgeous cake, though.

Bet that turtle doesn't move, though.

A museum-quality cake, in my opinion.

It's based on Discworld. And I note that it's been done before.

And lo the people did prosper in the land of the icing, till that dread judgement day did come, bringing with it The Great Spatula!

Nice cake.

I can see it now, death comes a riding, violin in one hand and over-sized spatula in the other....

I was touched that cake on my screen, to take the taste of it, it was too pretty in formation, color combinations, type of cake, its fabrication methodology etc, since I am a fond of cakes, normally I don't spare to take atleast one slice to keep it on my tounge to taste it.

The idea of tortoise is also very fine.

Except that Great A'Tuin isn't a tortoise but a turtle (British English distinction), and isn't a he but a she.

Incidentally the elephants are Berilia, Tubul, Great T'Phon and Jerakeen.

Not just British English, either. Americans make the distinction, too, or ought to.
