Default And another thing I like about this place...

Besides the rules the mods set here to keep out the trolls, the oh yeah? school of debaters and politico/religeous pontificators who post replies so long that Moby Dickis an easier read, there is one other thing that I've learned to like around here.

You don't let folks run hog wild with their signature section. At another place that I frequent they don't have such considerate moderating and as a result, you get multiple, huge, flashy avatar thingys in the sig section or some gawdawful twelve stanza emo poem about the darksome tragedy of being an awkward dork.

I swear, two of them, one from column A and one from column B get to having a conversation and even though they are posting short comments they only get about five posts per page and its the same forum program they use here.

You have to scan past all the crapola, pausing once in a while when you think you see a break and a new reply only to discover the "poet" had altered his sig to include something from some goth rock group to go along with his helping of self pity. (Women love that, I can't understand why he's still lonely. Oh yeah, the being an awkward dork thing)

So bravo guys, keep up the good work.

(And I know what the rest of you are thinking. Can BD possibly kiss up any harder? Well, you aren't working on your fourth or fifth warning from at least three different mods. Those bans for life seem to be just that, a ban for life. And I do like it here. But sometimes some of the knuckleheads just torque me off. I don't even go to that galeleo thread anymore. Though I saw one of its proponents got himself banned.)

You forgot to mention the tight sizelimits on avatars which means animations are by necessity low-key.
I've been to a forum with no limits on avatars where an avatar war was declared, ie. create the flashiest avatar, not find, create.
10 seconds and my eyes started hurting.
