Default Artists creating manufactured constellations.

Approximately 250 LED's will be suspended from helium balloons to create an artificial starscape, creating our own constallations and a twinkling Milky Way that should be visible for miles.
Other projects include having strings of LED's suspended from a weather balloon. Should produce some interesting ufo reports.

Please bring glowy things and a camera!

Next year they're going to visualize a black hole.

Wow, my spectrum analyzer says that star is composed of Gallium, Arsenic, Indium, Aluminum, and Phosphorus, but no Hydrogen or Helium. Hmmmmm.

Recreate the Milky Way with just 250 LEDs? That should be quite a trick. Plus the star patterns better stay in place. Otherwise they won't be conSTALLations.

Meanwhile, even more light pollution.

Perhaps we could assist such space age art by sending Christo on the next escape-velocity probe so he might wrap the galaxy.

Yeah, a fake Big Dipper! I like art, but this is just sad. Virtual reality...[snort]..."visible for miles"...I see a weather balloon being punctured...

That gave me a good chuckle (though dangerous when drinking coffee).

Glad to give you a chuckle!

What's your favorite?

I always liked the lime green.
