Default Do You Think 0.3333333... is Equal to Blue?

It's always seemed more yellow to me.

There's never a synesthetist (synesthesia sufferer? Wikipedia: Synesthesia) around when you need one.

Edit: Synesthetes

Off the top of my head,

1 = white
2 = red
3 = green
4 = blue
5 = brown
6 = orange
7 = purple
8 I'm not getting an impression for 8.
9 = black

That's pretty good. I zipped right through those and only
stumbled on 8. However, I missed yellow, and I know yellow
should be in there. Possibly 6 = yellow, and 7 = orange.
I don't think that 8 = purple, though. Hmmm.

Does anyone agree with any of the above, or do you'all
think it's nuts?

Edit to add: I think 8 might equal gray. A very conservative
number and a very conservative color.

I still think 6 = orange, and don't know where yellow fits.
Unless 11 = yellow. Eleven seems too large a number, but
it has the "L" in it that is the essence of yellow.

"Does anybody smell blue?"

If 0.3333... is blue, 3.000... better not be red, or 1.000 would be time travel.

Duh! Everybody knows that...

0 = black
1 = brown
2 = red
3 = orange
4 = yellow
5 = green
6 = blue
7 = violet
8 = grey
9 = white

That makes 0.333~ a very dark brownish color.

However, 0.33 +/- 5% is equal to orange orange silver gold.

(If you don't believe me, just ask Wiki...)

No, it's blue. So is every other color.

Everything is bluetiful, in its own way.

Everybody knows the greatest color (#1) is blue; and that is not taking in it's accomplishments on defense and the basepaths. I also believe Blue would have hit the Wrigley Field scoreboard many times if he had played in the National League.

Yes, I've given blue a gender. Skewer me.

BTW, this thread has infected my daughter. She asked me last night about .99 repetend 9 equaling 1. I gave her the explanation that .33 repetend 3 = 1/3, and that 3 thirds = 1, and that .33 repetend 3 times 3 = .99 repetend 9; therefore .99 repetend 9 = 1.

Seems to be working for now.

BTW, I think she's been sneaking onto the sight from time to time.

It really makes me appreciate the civility and composure maintained here.

But if you see a post under my name that discusses BRATS, GIRLZ, Drake & Josh, Hillary Duff, etc, . . . it's not really me.

I'd say that smd is green, dip is black, and discrete is brown. I think we can agree on that Pete.

So that would make 240 black. At least there is a consensus on that one .
