Cool 3D Hamburg at Google Earth

The newest version of Google Earth is able to show buildings in 3D (true 3D, texture mapped -- not just the ugly gray blocks). For example, now you can see many of the skyscrapers in New York as 3D models.

Soon the city of Hamburg in Germany will be in 3D.

See Ogle Earth blog for more.

Looks pretty awesome.

Well, they didn't hurry -- 3D Hamburg is available now.

It was supposed to be the first city to become 3D, but Berlin and Dresden were faster.

These are worth watching. But be warned--they are really massive models!
