Default Extra Solar

http://www.extrasolar.net/
Has anyone been to this site? I found this site about a year ago. I was amazed by the images and information on it. However, then I went to the forums on the site and found out the site webmaster had died the month before and the site would no longer be updated.
So, my big question is, Is there any site with this kind of info and art work at this quality anywhere else on the web?

What a cool site, thanks for linking it. I don't know how much is speculation and how much is real science, but this is the only place I've seen that brings some easily digestible, layman excitement to the subject.

You mean artwork or speculation?

Lynette Cook has created several extrasolar planet paintings, you have probably seen some of them.

I don't know any other similar speculative extrasolar planet website.

Extrasolar Visions is an old website, it started soon after the discovery of the first extrasolar planets around Sun-like stars. For example, the first known hot Jupiter, 51 Pegasi b, was imagined as a extremely hot, terrestrial "super-Venus".

It is more speculation than science. But after all, despite the fact that we learn more and more about the planets, our knowledge of them is still very limited.

I know that the artwork is speculation, but it feeds my imagination. Plus, there's nothing wrong with speculation, as long as you accept the facts when presented with them.

Oh and thanks mdev, I check there all the time, but some times a person must indulge in fantasy.
