Default Six Nations Rugby

Yes its the time of year when (as a Welshman) I normally suffer heartbreak, exilhiration and serious hangovers for a month and a half.

What are your views on Wilkinson returning for England? Skrella being picked for France and all of the other hot topics? Has anyone from Down Under got a view on this year's tournament?

They don't really show it here in the States I'd love to be able to watch rugby instead of just playing the EA Sports title on playstation. But alas, my cable carrier only shows the matches on the super-expensive extra sports package that I refuse to (and couldn't afford to anyway) buy.

I miss playing it, myself. The only high school sport I ever got into seriously. Would love to see it more often, I've seen it on a RARE good day on ESPN.

Yeah. Will all the junk sports they show on ESPN2, you'd think they could at least cover the major tourney's like 6-nations. But nope. They are decidedly against European sports (except soccer). Altho, I admit I'm not losing any sleep over not being able to catch the latest Crickett match

I wonder if you could get it on the internet? The BBC stream is to the UK only, but there must be others - it'd be worth you having a look anyway....

I've looked, but have never been able to find them. If anyone else knows somewhere that streams them, or even has them after the fact to watch, let me know. I'll double check ESPN's schedule, maybe this year they'll decide to show it.

RUGGER UNITE! Greatest game on Earth. Played 2 seasons in college; very good times. Games weren't bad either.

I have always wondered who watched those sports on the pay-per-view channels that are some ridiculous price. Who pays $129.95 to watch a cricket match on TV?

Well, it seems the only people who are interested in this year's tournament are from the States! How ironic!!

I'm vaguely interested, but only in Scotland. Err, sorry!

Well, Scotland have their best chance in beating England at Twickenham for many a year. As long as the back row can unsettle Wilkinson and Farrell, I think you're in with a great chance.

Good luck, I'll be cheering very loudly for Scotland on Saturday.....

Cheers. Due to having some really good Welsh friends, I usually cheer loudly for your lot in all of their non-Scotland games :-)

Thanks mate. We'll need all the help we can get to beat the Irish, that's for sure. They have a very strong team at the minute, though we've selected a huge pack to try and steamroller them in the scrum. The Scottish scrum is good and solid these days. In fact the set piece is the main strength of the Scots.

I'm a fan of Ireland's team...well, "fan"... it's hard to be much of a fan when you can't see the game and are hard pressed to find any information about the matches and no one around you cares and few people know what rugby even is other than "that painfull sport"...blah. Some day I'll have the time and money to go to Ireland and go to the pubs and drink real beer and watch live rugby.... someday....

Default 6 nations rugby in Columbus, Oh

Fazor,
I see you live near Columbus - like me. Apparently you can watch the rugby at Fados pub in Easton, they show all the games live but here is the catch -$20 cover charge...

I went to one of the rugby colleges in Dublin that regularly has graduates on the Ireland team (three currently), but I've never really liked the game!
