You bet. I mean, "nope," a claymore is not always a two-hander.

Yep again. I think that I may actually have been partially responsible for the creation of BABBling on the old BABB forum... I went a bit too far off topic, and the BA graciously created a new section. Sorry about that. See, Humphrey and I were playing blackjack one night...

Oh pshaw! I'm one of the biggest offenders in that department. I'm surprised I've never got a nastygram from any of the mods for it.

Why chase him all the way? That's certainly a funny story, but if I were the guy, I would have backtracked back to my house past the first block.

The main reason why would be if there were any secondary burglars that were around that I didn't see...

Ah, brings back memories. Never happened to me, I was a good boy in that arena. But I had a close friend that got the large-chunk-of-very-heavy-guage-chain-across-the-hood-of-his-car treatment. It was a very pretty car too; 2-year old red Camaro, 1970 or 71.

They ended up getting married (the friend and daughter, not the friend and father) for a few years, then divorced, then I lost track of them after a couple moves. Hope they at least provided their child a good start.

In my book it would be some lime spiked jalepeno salsa force feeding itself to the mayo, sending it into shock; right after blowing the sweet relish to smithereens.

But then I'm strictly a dill guy when it comes to pickle relish.

Sometimes the old-fashioned approach to dealing with potential violence still works.

At one time they were a football team. Was that one of the remaining two?

BTW, it appears a variation of the Claymores logo was co-opted by the Tennessee Titans.

Heh, I'd call that ground for justifiable vehicular manslaughter. Even if he backed up twice to make sure.

Yeah, but I don't think he would've gotten the chick at the end of that story if he did that.

In this case, I mean the two-handed sword.

Shame, can you imagine him chasing the guy down the road with one of these

Of course one does have to wonder about how intelligent the US Army thinks their soldiers are when they have to put that warning on it....

I dunno, I don't see much of a problem there. I interpret it more as "FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY (AS IN, NOT THE BACK)." Knowing which end to put facing the ground and which end to put facing the enemy would be nice.

Now, if it said, "WARNING: THIS THING GOES BOOM AND IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE; OBEY CAUTIONARY PROCEDURES", I'd be a bit more worried.

There was a comedian who talked about the dumbing down (in terms of lowered entry requirements) of the US military and the increasing complexity of the weapons.

He speculated about some "nucular" silo operator who got hungry, pressed the lunch button, then spent the rest of the afternoon trying to remember where he might have misplaced the missile.

You would have had to meet him. He was one large, armed, and very seriously intentioned father. His very presence demanded serious respect.
