Default The Cooper Union

Anyone have stories to tell about this New York establishment?

My dad was a librarian there in the early 1960s. I was pretty young at the time, so I don't remember any particular stories. It is a pretty well know institution in New York.

Thanks; had not heard of it before yesterday, when it was described as the U.S.' first technological center, by the author of Lincoln at Cooper Union and the author of Mr. Lincoln's T-Mails (telegrams), on BookTV.

I used to hang out there sometimes when I was living in the East Village c. 1967/68. Lots of interesting people and stuff.

And here I was thinking this was going to be about a union for barrel makers. *sulks unconvincingly*
