Default Important inventions in the News (not)

I ran across this, and figured it would be a good start for a thread of inventions that have absolutely no new technology or advancement and are only "cool".

Why does the "magazine" hold only 10 beers, when cans come in packs of 6 or 12? And this kid has a college education. Yikes!

...who drinks beer from cans anyway? It's bottle or draft for me.

Funny thing, his dad invented the hot dog bun packages that have 8 buns, to go with the hot dog packages with 6 dogs.

Wow, you learn something new every day!

(BTW, "8" doesn't even mean "10" in octal...)

Call it a stretch for a laugh. Yes; it's the latter, and I am converting the other direction. Come on, Hollywood wouldn't consider it a stretch.

Nathan's puts seven hot dogs in their package. I've never figured that one out, either.

I eluded to this one on another thread. It must be big news because it's all over the local media.

Local Woman To Appear On Oprah With Her Creation
Ohio woman to showcase her invention on 'Oprah'
Local inventor takes big idea to 'Oprah'

The covers will be made from a sturdy, polyester fabric able to withstand the weather. She said they will be available to fit most typical shutters.
I would have just bought new vinyl or prepainted shutters. They're probably cheaper than covers.
But, if Oprah thinks they are good, then they must be.
