Yes.

(That means, "don't steal from Pizzaguy, go a few doors down and steal from a more passive neighbor.")

Like my new signature line says, "Those who beat their swords to plowshares will plow for those that don't."

So let me get this straight... any post that mentions gun control is deemed political and forbidden, yet knee-jerk pro gun posts go unchallenged, is that about right?

This is why the 2nd Amendment exists. Stop crying and pack heat.
Actually, it isn't. Such things as self defense were so self obvious back then as to be a reflex, not a thought. The founding fathers would have never thought a specific protection for that would ever come into question. The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with hunting either. It's a prohibition on gov. - not just congress passing laws - from ever placing restrictions on the people from owning and carrying weapons that were in common use by and suitable for soldiers for military purposes. It also uses the term Arms -referring to weapons in general rather than any more limiting term such as firearms, flintlocks, rifles, muskets and the like.

My guess is if someone tried to argue such a point as no self defense, they'd probably have a big laugh over some ale and then escort the person to the frontier and tell them to go tell it to the indians and to the bears and mountain lions. Either that or lock them up in whatever they had for a booby hatch.

Gun control is a specific political agenda. Using firearms for self defense is not a political agenda.

You're being rather optimistic there Doodler. There's not that big a market for slaves. For most now, the results would plowed under rather than being forced to plough.

Kneejerk Gun Machismo is just as inappropriate as talk about gun control.

I'm closing this thread now before it turns ugly, and advising the guns for everyone people to tone down the pushing of their agenda.
