Maybe we need to open a cat pictures thread...

I can add my four to the list: Puck, Pepper, Campion, and Thistle.

When we had outdoor cats, getting the morning paper was an adventure for a while. If there wasn't a deceased critter on top of it, there likely was one underneath. Most of the time what they caught were shrews. The cats wouldn't eat those, must have smelled bad or something. The actual mice, they would eat, leaving just parts on the porch.

One winter our black cat discovered where the garter snakes were hibernating, or whatever it is they do when they all den up together. He'd bring four of five of them a day back to the house. Not dead, either.

It's much better having indoor cats.

Call them "Stinky" and "Poopy".

The best results will come from when the wife/kids call for them while outside.

I have a friend who's adult son had a dog name "Oven Mitt". Sometimes Oven Mitt would stay at her house and she'd have to call the dog into the house from the yard "Here Oven Mitt, come here Oven Mitt". She assumed the neighbors just added it to their evidence that she was insane.

Some years ago, my neighbor had this huge cat which they named "suitcase" !
He was enormous !!!!!
Now, my friend Freddy had gone fishing back in the pond, and as luck would have it, he caught himself a nice eating 3 pound bass for his trouble.
He laid it on his back cement porch and went to get some newspaper and a sharpe knife to fillet it.
While he was wasteing time with pleasantries, ......Suitcase absconded
with his 3 pound bass well secured in his kitty jowls and dragged himself and the
fish up a tall maple tree, growling all the way, setting up shop on a large
horizontal limb, taking his time eating the fish!!!
Next time...have the knife and newspaper handy.

Best regards, Dan
