The government claims that a tanker truck exploded and distroyed this overpass. But we all know that gas doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel. This is just another illuminati coverup!

The bridge was probably poorly constructed.

Maybe they didn't use steel, but recylced WTC material to contruct it...

Just a note for those new here: This is a pun on a common CT theme It is humor, and this is why it is not in the CT forum. Now, please carry on...

There are obviously buildings nearby, and yet there are no videos on YouTube that show the explosion happen. That alone is suspiscious.

It's also suspiscious that the one side the came loos came loose right by the support, rather than from the middle where there is less support.

No concrete freeway has ever been collapsed due to fire alone.

These freeways are in a major earthquake zone and are built to withstand huge tremmors, yet one single tanker truck explosion drops a whole section of it.

(On a serious note, I'm glad this is no where near as bad as it could have been)

Explosive rebar! Explosive rebar!

On a serious note (for once), I know that, when I left, they were talking about retrofitting the entire California freeway system. All things considered, I wouldn't be surprised if they're not done with that particular job yet.

great point. Here is what a bridge looks like when it's hit by a bomb:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/6548071.stm

Looks the same to me. That is slam dunk proof that the San Fran bridge was destroyed by a hellfire missile launched from a predator drone.

Note also that the people who have been interviewed say, "it sounded like a bomb going off." These people have seen tanker trucks. They've been around tanker trucks their whole life. And they've all seen gas burn. Yet they described this as a bomb.

Come on people, wake up.

I Bet They Have Not Checked For Radiation, Proving That It Was A Micro-nuclear Bomb!!!!!!!
(I tried doing this in all caps, as is proper for all CTs, but the software changed it - obviously another sign of the conspiracy)

How come the article has all sorts of pictures, but only of the aftermath, not of the actual accident or fire?
And, if the fire was so hot, then why do I see intact road reflectors in the pictures?

this is fun. I think we should start trolling the loose change forums with this - but then, they might actually go along with us instead of realizing we're making fun of them.

BTW, I actually didn't think of the 9/11 connection, and I didn't make the image in the OP. I saw it on another forum and just now I heard someone on the radio say that we need to call Rosey and let her know there's another coverup going on. So this idea is gaining a lot of traction.

You're all missing the bigger picture. There was no bridge. The CIA flew a fighter jet DISGUISED as a bridge into the tanker to further the fuel shortage so they could raise the prices of gas again! This shouldn't be much of a suprise tho, seeing as "Mr. President" comes from an oil family.

In the photo in the first post, one fellow is wearing a hardhat, the other isn't. Now, if you need to wear a hardhat, safety regulations require everyone to wear one. Obviously, this isn't a real photo and the two people were photoshopped in. I also notice that the area under the bridge is in shadow, but the two men are not creating shadows - obviously this was all filmed in a studio.

We had a similar incident here in Houston just a couple of days before the one in California. The ramp was damaged and some rebar warped, but didn't collapse.

http://www.click2houston.com/news/13...0412&qs=1;bp=t

Probably ours was just practice for the "real" thing in CA.

If the fire was hot enough to melt the steel, why didn't it melt the asphalt? Asphalt melts at 250 to 300F. Steel melts at 2500F. Why isn't all the asphalt in that photo melted? Obviously it was a bomb.

(gosh - this is so much fun)

Jim, that is just proof that there is a conspiracy! The Houston accident was obviously a test run by the government.

I'm just glad that there is at least one overpass in Houston without the explosive rebar installed.....oh, wait, they are probably going to install it now!

Heh, I just saw an article on this incident, and I got a strong feeling of certainty that someone would have made a thread like this here...

Come on Swift, you of all people should know that explosives can't bring down a bridge.

( Seperate thread here with proof )

Man, if I meet someone talking like this, I'm so going to jail for aggravated assault...maybe even assault with intent.

The steel didn't melt, it softened. Some of the bolts probably melted, causing them to s
