Went by Best Buy, picked up a couple games and Ozzy's new CD, figuring I could use some new entertainment.

Got home, stuck the GTA: San Andreas DVD in the drive, and discovered I had a sound issue.

Not even thinking about it, I pull the tower out, disturb the DVD drive, and the disk gets disturbed in the tray. A few seconds of sickening grindgrindgrind later, I retrieve the DVD with a nice spiral scoremark on the face...

Its installing ok for the moment, but I'm DEARLY hoping this doesn't prevent me from playing. I might actually shed tears here.

Gonna see if someone in my gaming guild can set up and FTP of the game, I know a couple of them have it...

Meanwhile, I've had no trouble with laser-based players, burners, etc., but acknowledge that there are a lot of tight clearances in those machines.
