Here's the device's website.
Plagued by technical difficulties? ![]() From what I can tell, it is debuting at an art museum. Granted, it is for technical stuff, but it still sounds like an art museum to me.

They posted an ad in The Economist looking for scientists to validate their claims sometime last year. Apparently the process of evaluation started in January and they expect it to take the rest of the year.
If I remember right, they claim the machine usually runs at an efficiency of about 285%, and they say they've seen efficiencies as high as 400%. At some press demo, they had the machine running while connected to an instrument that gave live read-outs of the efficiency. One would think that if they've already done groundwork like figuring out how to take that kind of measurement, it wouldn't take a full 12 months for a team of physicists and engineers to test that claim. Heck, with an efficiency like that I imagine an easy first test would be to just start it up and wait a few minutes while the thing runs faster and faster until it tears itself apart. |

I already have one of these machines sitting on my desk. It just keeps running and running....
![]() With the proper placement of a few magnets and some wire, I think I I'll be able to use it to charge my cell phone.

it's funny how these types never just connect the output to the input and let it get on with it.
