Default Please do NOT 'Gimme More'

I therefore do freely confess to having downloaded the song and music video of Brit's new song 'Gimme More' and wasted $3 of hard-earned money.

The song and video are both robotic--embarrassing really. Spears used to be an excellent dancer if nothing else, but that talent is not evident in this video. She spends the entire video pacing deliberately around a stripper-pole and is about as sexy as Data the android on ST:TNG.

She may return to her old self once she gets off the booze and into rehab, but she's not there yet.

After I got through watching the video, I started sardonically singing 'Gimme, gimme more. Gimme more. Gimme, gimme MORE!' to my husband. He rolled his eyes, cut a massive fart in protest, and left the room.

I'm a bit at a loss with this post. Is there supposed to be a surprise element to it?

Next week: Paracelsus licks an iron bar on the coldest day of winter and then moans about her tongue sticking to it.

I don't know what the argument was, but he certainly won it!

More? Why did you ask for some in the first place? (let alone PAY MONEY for it!)

Did you tuck the three dollars into her waistband? (Sorry, couldn't resist)

Gimme Shelter, maybe?

I didn't know that Britney Spears was relevant anymore.

Her old self was no great shakes, either.

Once, when I was small, I watched her videos on Nickelodeon, because the other girls did. But I was not truly happy. I was just not that sort.
Now I have undersea archeology, polar exploration and space probes. I am happy.
She can try to fight her way back into my life, but she can talk to my little friend. (Soj, that is.)

Poor Britney.
She was famous then with her great songs .
But now she'd lost it all.
Even her kids.

Default So Sad

In 60+ years we've gone from Vaughn Monroe singing "There I've Said It Again" (later recorded by Bobby Vinton) to Britney Spears vocalizing "Oops I Did It Again".

So sad.

Britney was a creation of the Walt Disney corporation. well, that and her greedy mother that saw dollar signs every time she looked at her cute daughter.
now, the same people that say they are sick of hearing about here and decrying her as the worst thing to ever happen to modern society are the same people that won't let her fade away into obscurity- which, i think, is what she'd like to happen. at least for a while. but everywhere she goes there are hundred of paparazzi swarming around her and her kids and her car, capturing on film her every move and tearing it apart.
no wonder she's a basket case..
i hate to sound like that dude that wants to be a chick on youtube, but JUST LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE.
don't we have important things to worry about- like worrying about comets or rogue planets wiping us all out in a little over 5 years?

Unless you've got a woman willing to fight back accordingly. From an old family anecdote, my mother was notorious for pinning my father's legs so he couldn't escape.

Poor bugger...

I'm very happy to let her fade into obscurity. Yet the media won't let her die. Go up to a bunch of people in the street and ask if Britney has any relevance in their lives and I bet the overwhelming answer will be "No".

You can blame her public relations people and slow news days for maintaining any vestige of celebrity but she's just a person who moves her bowels and makes the same stupid faces during sex like everyone else. It's an illusion that the public wants anything more to do with Britney.

Of course once the media gets tired of Britney, they'll start talking about Paris Hilton again who is famous for being famous.
