Thumbs down Don't eat THIS for breakfast if you are trying to lose weight

Via CNN.com: http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/diet.....ap/index.html

Hardee's on Monday rolled out its new Country Breakfast Burrito -- two egg omelets filled with bacon, sausage, diced ham, cheddar cheese, hash browns and sausage gravy, all wrapped inside a flour tortilla. The burrito contains 920 calories and 60 grams of fat.
WOW.

As if we Americans don't have enough of a problem keeping our weight stable.

Another junk food frontier was just crossed.

Yay.

I've rarely been in one since they stopped doing roast beef sandwiches. I always liked theirs over Arby's.

Dang, ham rolled in ham, cooked in ham, and stuffed with ham. Served with a side of ham.

Seeing so many ham items in one thing always makes me think of the Homer quote:
Quote:
Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Ham?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal.
Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.

I liked their biscuits. There used to be one in Greenville that my mom would patronize frequently, to the detriment of her figure; but there isn't one now, I believe. There was also one in Clemson (my undergrad school), which I patronized frequently for the same reason as my mom when I was going to school there--to the detriment of my figure.

I'm a reformed Hardee's biscuit addict.

Mmm Hardee's biscuit and gravy. Yeah, my figure was detrimented thanks to that too.

Although... to bring in another quote, this time from Garfield:

I'm in shape. Round is a shape.
Thankfully a few years ago ... uh wow over a decade ... I reformed and am, more or less, fit. Although, ideal weight ... I'll never obtain it. I came close, and my friends and relatives kept asking if I was sick. I was at least 5 pounds over the top of the range too.

What! no green chile???
You can't have a breakfast burrito without green chile.

There is a Hardees in Oklahoma City, OK. I've been there. It's too bad they didn't have the Country Breakfast Burrito back then.

Yuck. Fast food is tolerable later in the day, but for breakfast, I like my Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries in soy milk. And maybe some yogurt or a peach.

The earlier I catch it- the faster I can devour it.

If it isn't made of stone, metal or manages to escape... it's FOOD!

CNN:

Hardees Introduces the Fat Shake

The Hardees chain of fast food restaurants has introduced the Fat Shake in three flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate and Bacon.

The shake is a mixture of vegetable oil and pureed fatback and comes in three sizes, using a special cup that is lined with mylar so it cannot soak through. "Our customers want fat,and we're giving them fat," spokesman Ronald McCutchey said from the Cardiac Unit at St. Jude Hospital.

Hardees is the second best of the "fast food" joint- surpassed only by Culvers. if you don't live in the midwest or a couple of cities in Texas, you don't know what you are missing.
the only thing that's keeping me from eating one of those Hardees breakfast burritos every once in a while is the fact that the nearest Hardees is 30 miles in the exact opposite direction i have to go every morning for work, but i do get to have a Monster Burger every few months or so.
if there isn't a Hardees near you, there is another chain that the same company owns that is almost the same, but i can't remember what it's called.

This is the same business that created the Monster Burger: at least two hamburger patties (I seem to recall three), two layers of bacon, and two layers of cheese, no veggies, no sauces except (possibly) mayo... and a later version of it, upgraded from half of a pound of hamburger to two thirds.

I disagreee with that. An egg is more underdeveloped that "Balut" duck egg.

Balut egg = isn't made of stone , metal or manages to escape ...its FOOD!

P.S. For those who doesn't know what is Balut. Just Google it

No... Balut is a fertilized egg. An unfertilized egg is not a fetus. It is not life. It is just an egg.

Balut is a semi developed duckling. It was on its way... and before it even got to this world- some scavenger came along and mistook it for food. Didn't even live yet...and got eaten.

No. I am a predator. Not a scavenger. Balut is food that has not yet happened. Let the duck hatch and grow up first. Then it is food. A fetus in the egg- has no chance of escape.
There is no hunt in that.
