Not usually thought of as a love song, but I think it is one: "The Whole of the Moon" by The Waterboys "Is It a Crime?" by Sade "Angie" by The Rolling Stones "With or Without You" by U2 "Vincent" by Don MacLean O.K., so some of these are kind of borderline... ![]()

I would say there is True Love by Crosby and
Kelly and there is everything else. It was the background sound when I was an infant and it sticks. Sadly I first got to see the film when it was broadcast as a tribute following that tragic accident 25 years ago that claimed Princess Grace. I would mention also another type of song that is appreciative of more spiritual things. Judy Collins has done the definitive Amazing Grace and some guys with bagpipes did an interesting instrumental version. Also the hit parade has sometimes featured new tunes along these lines. Days by the Kinks was one I am sure. The line "those endless days, those sacred days" was the givaway. I think there have been others. |
