Default New drug arrives in the US from Africa...

A guy I game with heard this reported on a radio station in Florida. A new inhaled drug has made the leap from Central Africa to the US.

Thanks guys, really. What are the odds we can get Doc Watson back on the job?

That ranks very high on the list of most disgusting things I have ever heard.

"Hey man! Wanna hit of Nigerian Brown?"
"Thanks, I prefer the Congo Umber. Real primo fec, if you know what I mean."

Will Congress now pass a law making posession of faecal matter illegal?

Well it's official; I think any thoughts I may have still had of ever returning to the field of law enforment are now gone.

It is not everyday you see people adding value to sewage. Kudos to the African inventiveness.

To be honest, I'm all about innovation, but in this case, I was kinda happy with the line drawn at compost heaps...

If this is actualy true, the real disgust is with conditions that make it seem preferable to reality.

You know, sometimes I wonder how things were discovered/invented. This time, however, I prefer not to think about it.

Ya know, on the one hand, I can agree with that, its rough over there.

On the other hand, who made it that miserable?

This wound is pretty self inflicted. Regardless of what guilt and spite they think they can pass off on European colonial powers, the fact is, these hellholes were the creations of failed cultures too mired in tribalism to avoid collapse once free to make their own way in the world.

I'm sure there are apologists and bleeding hearts who will blame the West for this, but I don't recall voting for Robert Mugabe...

Quote:
Following the Berlin Conference, held in 1885, Rwanda and Burundi were ceded to Germany, who held it until the 1918 Treaty of Versailles, when it was ceded to Belgium.[5] The Belgians, seeking a non-indigenous explanation for the complex monarchy they found in the colony, framed the Hutu/Tutsi distinction as one of race, rather than economics or ethnicity. The Belgians issued racial identification cards to every Rwandan, giving preferential treatment to Tutsis for positions in education, politics and business.[6]

The list goes on . . .

No, my disgust is for people, any people, who can look at kids sniffing decomposing human dung and not see trying to change that as more important than their honor, or their money, or their mad obsession with power.

Surprized they didn't call it mugabe instead of jekem

You're looking for enlightenment in a place that would give Diogenes pause.

Well, we can always call it "mugabe". It's better than calling it "Dutch Air Freshener". (See the Wiki entry linked in the OP.)
