Paisley? Yes.
Pink? No.
Purple and orange? Okay.

Just play with the color knobs on your TV, it'll look just fine.

Oh really?

What I wrote was that the other elections are decided by who gets the most votes (read majority, plurality, plutocracy, bushocrazy, etc. as meaning that).

Examples please.

If it's science, let's test their melting points.

Okay, we need to clarify then - in the presidential election, each individual citizen (eg you) votes for a slate of presidential electors. I think in some states you can vote for individual electors, and in some you vote for a combined group of electors, but either way, the electors who get the most votes win. Then, all the electors elected by the various states get together and cast votes for president and vice-president. Again, the candidates who get the most votes win.

So it seems to me that the presidential election is also "decided by who gets the most votes."

It's not a direct vote by the people, but then neither is federal law - each state elects representatives and then those representatives make the law. There is no provision for enactment, repeal, or modification of federal law by nationwide popular vote. Neither is there for constitutional amendment - I believe the residents of a single state can ratify an amendment by statewide popular vote, but you need a super-majority of the nation's states to make it into the constitution, regardless of how many of the nation's people vote for it.

How is the presidential election different?

Ah, but with an HDTV set, you'll need a color calibrator.

So, you don't put tinfoil on the rabbit ears or change the channel with pliers cause the knobs fell off?

Not when I'm being told I hate rural regions because of my political leanings.
