Talking The REAL Neal Armstrong Conspiracy...?

So I had this all typed up in the conspiracy section, but decided since it didn't really have to do with space or flight, I would put it here. It does relate, however, to a rather famous space person. Introductions aside, here it is, my original text copy and pasted below:

I'm quite certain the primary content here about Armstrong is a joke, and thought I would share it. Yes, it is the one and same Neal Armstrong that walked on the Moon.

I was looking up various views on the fossil record tonight, and through a rather convoluted path, connected it with the famous astronaut. Apparently he has been connected to a search for ancient astronauts, aliens, and metalic Ecuadorian libraries...? Now, you ask, how does that relate to the fossil record? Good question, read on!

I started at "evolution facts". Feel free to ignore that page if you want, it will just make most of you mad. I smelled garbage, but decided to check the sources--that way I can say I did my homework.

From the bottom of the above page I followed a link to this page about God knows what, if you figure it out let me know. If you figure it out without a headache, share the medicine! My eyebrow raised, I continued to the "main" page for that site and found the third page in my journey. If I'm not mistaken, Jonathan Gray is trying to bring all conspiracy theories together...? Perhaps the "theory of everything" that science has been looking for . Anyway, look in the "The Americas" section, second arrow from the bottom, just before "The Mediterranean" starts. This point lists one Neil Armstrong...? And apparently he sought metal books in an ancient Ecuadorian cave library?

A google search brought up lots of pages about the LEM tunnel and related items: a few hits took me here There were several hits, but all related to the Nexus page. This one tells the story of Armstrong going caving for Scotland, for glory, and for...a library?

That was the only mention I saw of it. Granted, I stopped looking after about five minutes. Nexus magazine is a curious thing. They claim to be owned by God. They also state, quite emphatically, that they are NOT a conspiracy newsletter.... Rather, they that cover "supressed information"...?

A little more homework found this somewhat related story which is far more likely the real event. Where the libraries come from? Well, you have me beat on that one.

Again, I'm not suggesting there ARE tunnels in Ecuador with metal libraries in them! I'm just sharing if anyone wants to chuckle with me. Also, if anyone knows the REAL details of what happened on his trip? Assuming the last link is telling the truth. A grotto website has no real reason to lie, but...

I don't really understand what you're trying to say, Man on the Moon.
