We could combine two threads by frying our onions in bacon grease.

I'm guessing that they either a) put a stent in the coronary artery or b) took a vein graft from the thigh area to splice into the coronary artery.

Either way, hope he's doing OK>

Typical angioplasty. The stent is put in near the heart (or wherever the blockage is), but they actually puncture the vein in the thigh and snake the wire all the way up to the blockage. I think some of them are now done through the wrist instead of the thigh - it's a little bit easier on the patient, but more difficult because the radial artery is smaller than the femoral artery.
