Today would have been Carl Sagan's 73rd birthday.
Just thought you'd like to know.

Happy birthday, CES, and thanks!

"Would've like to known you, but I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did."
For saving the world from atomic anihiliation when most of the world's other scientists were building the means for it.
For informing us of the fragility of our small world and the importance of protecting it's environment.
For fighting against ignorance wherever it reared its ugly head.
For working to discover life beyond Earth.
For educating and inspiring thousands, perhaps millions to become scientists and continue to explore.
As a kid, you wanted to go to Mars. Because of your work, this kid may well yet.
You were a superhero without powers.
Happy birthday, Doctor.
