Question Mods: Who are the old-timers and who are the newbies?

This is just idle curiosity . . .

This is the list of mods but which ones are the old-timers and which ones are the newbies?

A List of Moderators

Also, there seem to be some on the list that I've never seen active.

A clarification . . .

I know I can look to see when a mod's userid was registered and also the number of posts but I figure that some of the mods must have been regular members for some time before becoming moderators.

All of the mods started as members. The original BABB board didn't have mods. The BA did it all!

UT had mods, though--though I do imagine that they, too, started as regular members. Everyone except Phil and Fraser, one would assume.

And, man, was Phil busy!

Busy doing a great job, I should add.

Moderators: The Next Generation

I think this is the only time we've added new moderators. All the rest go back to the board merger. And I think everyone but me was a moderator on UT before the merger. (Wolverine was the other moderator who came from BABB, but he's no longer active.)

Thanks. That thread was right before I joined but I would have found it if I had searched. Sorry.

In the ancient history of the UT forum, there were several moderators here before I was. Duane, Nereid, and maybe GalaxyGirl came in after me.

GalaxyGirl hasn't been active since the beginning of August. Is she OK?

She was a high school student when she was an active moderator, but now she's a college student, and has less time.

This is completely contrary to my college experience

Although that would explain my GPA

When I was in college, I pursued *many* interests, which gave me less time for any one of them. I think that's what's happening to GG.

You could just do what I'm doing - pursue many interests, spend just as much time on all of them, and just sleep a heck of a lot less...

Originally a short story by Damon Knight. Great short story writer - I used to hunt down his various collections from the 50s and 60s.
