Oh My Gawd.

If they declare Bindi Day, I'm emigrating.

There was an order issued down under to have Santa clones say "Ha Ha Ha" instead of "Ho Ho Ho", because it might be construed as offensive to women.

Shall I look up a link for your visa application?

...If they called it "Baby-Dangler Day" people might think it was for Michael Jackson.

(Joke!)

I know it was a joke, but you'd be surprised by how many idiots try to defame him simply because of the incident. These are of course the same knuckleheads who have done nothing worthwhile with their lives and are desperately seeking other people to criticize to justify their own lack of success.

So, the fact that he's dedicated his life in service to worthwhile pursuits grants him dispensation to commit legendarily stupid acts without having to face so much as a harsh criticism?

You wouldn't happen to have a shrine built in his memory at home, would you?

Well, it seems to be the only thing these people think of him when he is mentioned. The phrase Ad hominem best describes this, while they ignore the real awareness of wildlife conservation he brought to the public.

And about the "legendarily stupid act" you mention, it was exaggerated by the wussified public and news. While I agree it was a bad choice, his son was in no more danger than one being taught to swim. The distance was actually farther than it appears in the angle of the footage it was shot at.

I have a life-size gold statue of him holding a croc and all the Crocodile Hunter episodes on my DVD collection. I even have the lost, never-aired episode, which I got from ebay.

Man, you're hardcore! I wanted to visit the Australia Zoo when I was in Brisbane, but it wasn't on the intinerary. I got a brochure for it at the hotel, though.

Hmmm... Looks to me that this was a memorial day held by the family in order to honor his memory, so I would hope there would be no reason for holding a Bindi day anytime soon.
