Default Good thoughts to adopt

I am talking about the great thoughts by Mr. Warren Buffets.:

some where I have read their interview, may be you are better knowing them, but anyway I am giving their thoughts here :

see how the big peoples have a very simple way of living their life, there are great things to learn from them.

Subject: Interview of Warren Buffet.... Richest man....

There was a one hour interview on CNBC with Warren
Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity
Here are some
very interesting aspects of his life:
He bought his first share at the age of 11 and he now regrets that
he started too late!
He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from
delivering newspapers. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house
in mid-town Omaha,
that he bought after he got married 50 years ago.
He says that he has everything that he needs in that house. His house does not have a
wall or a fence. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or
security people around him. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's
largest private jet company. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63
companies. He writes only one
letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for
the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis.
He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share
holder's money.
Rule number 2: Do not forget the rule number 1.
He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after
he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television. Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did notthink he had
anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour.
Butwhen Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.
Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his
desk.

:His advice to young people

'Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself
and remember money
doesn't create man but it is the man who created money. Live your life as simple as you are.
Don't do what others say, just listen to them,
but do what you feel good for you. Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which you feel
comfortable. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just
spend on them who really in need rather.
After all it's your life then why give chance to
others to rule our life.'

Hey, Warren Buffet is basically untouchable, like Bill Gates. When you give away that much money to good causes, well, I'm not going to say anything bad about you.

Sure, you get a mighty big tax break. But Buffet gave away more than would be rational if that were his goal. He wants to leave just enough for his children so that they can get an education - nothing more. They'll have to earn it. No idle money.

I agree. They are both great guys and I salute them. Branson also.

I adopted some thoughts once; after which the original owners came and took them back - against their will. I'm not going thru that again.

Wait. So because they're rich, even if they're doing more good in the world than I can ever hope to... we should scorn them?

I apologize if it seemed so rude. I just don´t think they´re in position to teach someone simplicity. Sounds hypocritic, sorry.

If I were that rich, my thoughts would already be happy.

Wink Here good quotes to adopt

Sorry , I can't resist.

"Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. "- HITCH

And how you earn what you have.

That is a great quote, Whirlpool! Here is my philosophy:
"I had two dollars. My friend had two hundred. I bought a star chart, he bought a gaming system. That night, he gave up from having to plug in so many wires and the like, while I looked at Orion. Who was the happier?"

<chuckle>

I just watched the video of the movie "Hitch " the other night , quite a good one though , and this line of Will Smith has caught my attention.

This amount has nothing to do with "taming the tax lion". I always think it is unfair if someone is doing something obviously good for others to reason about "the wrong motives" he may have.

I see it quite a lot and I think it has something to do with envy.
