![]() Edit Actually this has got me wanting to have a trout or a trout fillet for tea now, just when I can not get one.

Down with farmed fish, anyway! I'd pick a few fly-caught rainbow trout over farmed salmon any day of the week.
I will respectfully see Lianachan's wild Scottish salmon and raise him at least three species of wild Alaskan salmon. But if he plays the scotch whisky card, I'll have to fold.

Those little marine stingers- it's amazing how much trouble they can cause.

Ehhh, if that happened around here, I'd just cook up the jellyfish instead.

Jellyfish?
I hate jellyfish! The first ocean-based triathlon I did involved a 1/2 mile swim in the waters off Mystic, CT. The race started in early afternoon so we'd enjoy swimming at high tide. But by then the onshore breeze had started, resulting in a two to three foot chop. Hard to know if you're going to come up in air or water to get your breath. But it also resulted in a multitude of jellyfish being pushed in. Nasty little buggers. I think I know why the crowd applauded when, after finally getting back to shore, I kissed the sand. Then on to the 20 mile bike and 5 mile run, which was mostly along good old Route 1, the Boston Post Road, bereft of shade and crowded with traffic that June afternoon. But I finished! ![]()

We have some non-stinging sea jellies here in the summer. At night, they bioluminesce a pretty green color in the bay. It is a nice sight to watch at a beach cookout.

Thankfully the bluebottles are relatively rare.

![]() Cougar doesn't mind the water.... A very good thing it wasn't a box jellyfish, though. You forgot to mention that these nasty suckers don't just sting, but cause very rapid cardiac arrest!
