Default Warning! Danger Will Robinson!

Came across this kinda funny, kinda depressing article today (I'll explaine why its depressing in a bit).

This falls into the "Warning! Product is harmful if used harmfully!" catagory.

My favorites were the iron-on shirt graphics that said "Warning, do not iron on while wearing the shirt", and the picture on the winning lable is certianly humorous.

Anyway, it's a bit depressing because it reminds me that the state of our tort system is, well, depressing. Oh well, still a good laugh.

This is why I feel that the politically correct crowd have thoroughly crossed the line in making it unacceptable to laugh at stupid people.

Unacceptable? Oh well, doesn't stop me. I get nuged/slapped/etc from my g/f every now and then because "It's not funny!" (but it is). But I still laugh.

So there I was, I young 2LT in Korea, and on this particular Monday morning, as I passed a soldier in the hallway, I noticed a very obvious mark on the side of his neck. "Hey, how you doing there?" I asked.
"uh, fine sir," he says.
"Did you have a good weekend?"
"It was ok."
"Yeah I can tell," I said, now obviously close to laughing. "Looks like you had a real good time. Looks like you got a little action there!"
He gives me a puzzled look. So I point to the mark on his neck. "You're sporting a hickey there."
"Oh no sir," he says. "The First Sergeant is coming by this morning for an inspection, so I had to iron my uniform, but I got burned."
There's an awkward pause while I attempt to process this, then I just walked away and we never spoke of it again.

True story.

Actually, depending on the fruit used, I find many torts delicious, not depressing at all.

Actually, it was "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly".
