The jazz legend has passed away.


Story

My university diploma does carry his signature, from his tenure as honarary chancellor and IIRC, he was also heading a jazz studies program at York, prior to his stroke, as well.

Very sad, I only saw him live once many years ago... very very good!

The meek will inherit the earth ... the rest of us will go to the stars.

The Maharajah could rip off some riffs on the ebonies/ivories that were, well, you had to hear them. How any piano survived his playing it is something that is still unknown. But I'm sure the piano still had lots of self-esteem in the morning.
