Could Gullible Jones be JS Princeton in disguise. GJ claims to be a 15 year old nerd, but seems very bright for his age.

I note that JS Princeton was banned on the 13th November 2003, and that Gullible Jones op'd on the 13th May 2004, perhaps after serving a six month ban? This is just idle speculation of course, and I apologise profusely if I am wrong.

But it seems to me that, while GJs posts are a little more mellow and brief for the most part, they are nonetheless similar!

JS Princeton: "WRONG. This is absolutely untrue and JK should retract it because he is basically lying. However, it's nothing new. He's known for doing this."

Gullible Jones: "This is my last post on this thread. I am tired of dealing with such high levels of intentional ignorance and illogic; therefore, I wash my hands clean of this whole business.

"Do not think that I am admitting defeat; I am admitting victory. This laughable parody of a theory has been beaten to death, yet you refuse to stop posting the same things, over and over and over again. I see not the use of beating a dead theory."

I doubt it. In fact, after looking over posts by both JS and GJ, I doubt it in the extreme.

Plus, if you're wrong, this is one uber compliment to Gullible Jones.

Who the hell was JS Princeton?

And Soup, please stop trying to get me banned.

(SkeptED56, what do you mean by "uber complement"? Was JS a real wiz?)

BTW, I actually am 15... Wouldn't call myself "giftewd" or anything, though. I just read too much.

Yes, JS was a real wiz and was banned, unfortunetly, for too many ad hominems. Also:

Btw, it is "compliment," "complement" has a different definition.

Whoops... I hate typos... #-o

Well, I'm a bit different from JS in that I'm not exactly interested in religion... Unless you count the psychological aspects...

And Soup, thanks for the compliment.

There isn't. Some kids think there is, but they're wrong... either that or illiterate.

Maybe I should change my name, just to be sure no-one gets us confused.
Sorry to jump in here, since I'm brand new to this board, but I recommend you keep your current username. The mods should make it policy to delete any new accounts that are too similar to current members. Trolls like to pull stunts like this to increase confusion. I say give them the boot. You can be polite about it, of course. Send them a PM (if this board has that feature) or an email and tell them they have to choose another name.

Just my two cents worth on that.

Very funny thread, btw.

That's an interesting technique... using both "male" and "female" sock puppets...

Of course, you still can't fool someone who can see your IP address...

Male and female sock puppets are fairly common. At least on some boards.

Also, don't expect the expert trolls to be caught just by checking ISPs. They're way above that level....

Hmm... I wonder if anyone uses a dialup modem specifically for the purpose of trolling?

His problem was an inability to accept that other individuals can have other beliefs and opinions. Pretty common, actually, but I don't think I've ever seen it exhibited in such a nasty fashion on this board.
