A troll is someone who posts stuff to irritate, annoy, anger and try to get others to flame him/her for their personal amusement. They want to make life hard for good posters and are just trying to get cheap laughs. They want attention, so the general rule is to never reply to a troll.

I should like to see the principle of the Outcast Village established for banned posters.

No problem. I'm relatively new to this myself. I only started in May. Dear God, was it only May? Yikes.

Yeah, I just saw that, what do you think the validity of that assertion is? I have only seen the later incarnationsof Prince, and Yul seemed a lot more polite (most of the time).

His assertion, while possible, is unlikely. This thread has Yul, Dunash and Caryn all involved at around the same time, occasionally two of them comment on the same day.

Anyway, it means that Yul is either:

a) lying (sour grapes at being banned, perhaps?)
b) sad (sock puppets, Yul? Especially responding to each others' posts? Lame, Lame, Lame.)

But, some of the stuff Dunash says seems related to the post that got Yul banned...

And Yul and Prince share some characteristics... Michelson Morely reliance.... Quote and runs...

I think maybe Yul/price used the different identities to allow him to act differently in a thread. Prince could come in and be a jerk, and Yul could follow up in a calmer manner, gaining some respect by not being like Prince. Just a theory

Ugh, so what's that then, Yul claims to have been four different posters in the same thread? Like I said, lying or sad.

Not worth my time to investigate further. This all gets a big  from me.

Hey, I've banned some of these people from my board too. They've got to do this for fun; otherwise you'd think they'd get a clue that there's something wrong with their behaviour.

Well if they are one and the same - they're a very sad character - even disagreeing with one's self?!?!

If you go to the memberlist, it will give you a list of all the members. You can then select to sort them by total post in either asending or desending order. There are about 12 pages of people with zero post, and several with just one or two.

There are other ways to sort people as well, such as join date, name, location...

I hadn't noticed that AgoraBasta had been banned! Does anybody remember why?

In the future, you can usually click on the person's profile and check there last few posts to see why they were banned.

I did, but the post that got him banned was not his last. The BA only gave him a warning about his last post; then he noticed an earlier post of the same vein, and decided to ban AgoraBasta.

I remember some of Agorabasta's posting duels with JS Princeton. I'm surprised he held out as long as he did.
