I am new here too... and thought I was reading the rules and got off somehow on the banned list???

Wonder who makes this site... I am trying to learn the protocols as it is not so easy to figure out intuitively.

Trust me... When you land on the Banned List- you'll KNOW it.

Well, this is an old thread, for one. You will notice that most of the people who get banned or suspended fit into a few simple categories.

1. Violation of the "be nice" policy. For a while just after the merger, that was the only rule. Just be nice.

2. Religious or political posting. To be avoided here at all costs.

3. Failure to answer direct questions in ATM or CT. (Definitions for those and other terms are available in the FAQ.) If you're in other sections of the board, answering direct questions is polite. In those, if you're presenting an opinion, it's required.
