I think it's an ET laughing at us!

Anyway, U-Haul is so smart plastering those things on their truck. I would never notice one on the road if not. They even have us talking about it here!

The Colorado one looks cool.

I think the Iowa one has a typo-- what are "crop files", and how can they hide a glacier, let alone a crater?

Noclevername,

It's "crop fields", which are planted in soil deposited on top of the crater
by glaciers about 10,000 years ago. The crater is buried very deep.

A crater 24 miles in diameter lies hidden by glacial sediment under crop files centered in Pocahontas County. What effects did the impact of an enormous meteor have on Iowa?
Ruined their spellcheck?

I didn't even get to the small print (or description page) to mis-read it. I thought it was under a mansion.

Apparently; that was (sort of) thier intent for this series according to the about page.

Later in 1997, the exciting "Venture Across America" campaign began. It ushered in a whole new campaign created around mystery and mystery revealed. These SuperGraphics deal with subject matter that is less well known nationally and internationally, yet which plays a huge role in the local area where it is based. U-Haul realized these SuperGraphics would be a great way to convey these locally popular subjects to all of North America.
I guess that explains Ohio...

I found this quote strange: "Using revolutionary technology ahead of its time, the H.L. Hunley inspired international submarine designs for decades. What caused her to mysteriously sink in 1864?"

Yeah, I dunno. Water? A leak, perchance?

How hawesome is that? I didn’t know what the terms in the equation are for (this ain’t my bag, baby) so I asked my buddy Dan Durda, about whom I have talked extensively in the past.
