Default John Dobson has suffered a stroke

At the 21 March meeting of the Dayton Amateur Radio Association, it was announced that John Dobson (namesake of the Dobsonian mount system for telescopes) had suffered a stroke. Mr. Dobson was slated to be the guest speaker at the Association's 2 May meeting. Mr. Dobson's condition is reported to be stable, and further medical tests are being conducted. For now, though, Mr. Dobson's travels will be limited to doctor's visits.
Further information on Mr. Dobson can be found at

Plans were being made for Mr. Dobson to attend the Hidden Hollow star party in Massillon, Ohio, Astronomy Day at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in Dayton, and the Dayton Hamvention in mid-May. These plans are now on indefinite hold pending medical results.

Whoa, I read that as James Dobson . . . talk about mind-bending moments. . .

Well, he is 93, but I still wish him well and hopes he sees his century mark, at least.
