Default Endless swimming pool

Anyone have one of those swimming pools with the pump that allows you to swim indefinately into the current?

I looked at homes over the weekend, and one had one of those pools (covered for the winter). I wanted to know from someone who has one / has used one whether they're worth having.

I've seen them. They're interesting. If you're a die-hard swim fan, go for it! If not, then you might want to opt for the more traditional pool.

I think it's a cheaper alternative. Just depends on what you really want.

Talking Forever current

One advantage of these types of pools is that you can put on some skimpy swimware and with a rope around your neck tied to the pool at the source of the water flow, you can troll yourself for babes. I know, but

I would generally consider that a bad idea, under most circumstances...

Cheaper alternative: You can get a waistband that connects to the side of the pool via a rubber band shock cord.

Swim away to your hearts content without having to buy a $20,000 pump system sucking $500 a month in electricity....

If it really costs $20K, then it is not cheaper than a modest sized in-ground pool. Must be some expensive pumps to put out enough current to hold a good swimmer in place.

Cheap, of course, is not the only issue. Yard size comes into it, too.
