The video was a waste of time. It was a bunch of titles hinting at many of the predictions discussed above, in Loosey-Goosey format.

Frankly, if that video scares you, then you're asking to be scared. Seek and you shall find.

Me, I'd rather remain skeptical of the sort of cruel people that have been scaring people with Henny-Penny false predictions since the idea of a prediction was invented.

Yeah, this has come up a few times. Short answer: 20 years ago, the sort of people putting out videos like this would have been on street corners wearing sandwich boards, screaming at people to "Repent! The End is Nigh!".

They learned they can creep out more people using cheap iMacs and YouTube, so now they use cheap iMacs and YouTube.

Don't worry about it. The ancient Mayans are just going to flip their calendar again.

Everything "scientific" mentioned in that video was taken out of context for effect or complete pseudo-scientific garbage. The rest was new-age hype designed to scare to the h*** out of you. Don't believe any of it. You'll wake Dec 22, that year embarrassed you were sucked in.

We have a senior manager at work who is spouting all of this nonsense about how the world will end in 2012. Every time I hear him talk about it, I just want to scream. I swear that the guy has zero critical thinking ability, because he falls for everything like this that comes along (rods, 9/11 conspiracy theories, etc.). It makes me wonder how he got to be a senior manager in the first place.

I think I will see if he's up for a friendly wager. I'll bet him $10,000 that the world won't end in 2012. If he wins, the world will have ended, and I won't owe him anything. If I win, I get $10,000.

Hmmm, I think I might be able to make money off of this...

They should take the money, however small it might be, since the world will end before they have to pay it back. Then we'd end up owning all of their property.
