Default Back pain

Mine seems to flare-up in the summer time. Any idea why??? Humidity?

By any chance, are you more physically active during the summer months? IIRC, you mentioned you're from Canada. Gets pretty cold in Canada in the winter. Lots of people stay indoors as much as possible.

Activity? Maybe you do things in the summer with more gusto or more frequency than in the winter. Mine gives me more problems in the summer too; but it's likely to be from the much increased intensity and frequency of sports & chores. In the winter it settles down quite a bit, except for skiing weekends.

Hmm, do you have a particularly annoying AC in your office that starts going when the weather gets warm?

I had one in my former job , its a split-type A/C that loses its cool air when heat of the afternoon approaches. It's really annoying because we have to turn it off for awhile and turn it on again.

<sigh>

Might the solution lie in addressing that?

leaning over a desk for long periods usually causes back pain, you should get up and walk around more, during the day and invest in a good ergonomical chair to ease the stresses leaning over causes.
