Nine minutes of it is a bit much though.

Since I've been drinking flouridated water for almost 50 years now and have none of the listed health problems, suffer no lack of aggression and have pretty darn good teeth, why should I believe the claims of a bunch of people who authority to make the claims I have no clue about?

summerops77,
It is considered good manners around here, when linking to a video, to give people some summary of the contents. Some of us have dial-up connections, and are not going to spend an hour downloading something that turns out to be nonsense.

It's basically 9 minutes of claims that fluoride is supposed to decrease tooth health, suppress aggression as well as several hormones, and increases health problems, and therefore there is some conspiracy of water companies to add it to your water (something like that - I only made it through about 45 seconds)

Dr.Strangelove covered the subject rather well, I think.

Thanks cjl.

summerops77,
The health benefits and risks of fluoride are extremely well know. As with most anything, dose makes all the difference. Fluoride can lead to health problems at excessive levels, but is very beneficial at low doses. I would suggest some searching around the web, particularly at health care sites, and stay away from YouTube as a source of info. Just my humble opinion.

I urge you all to watch this video and pay it close heed, so you will be distracted from the REAL conspiracy to depopulate the earth and sieze your possessions.

It isn't all about fluoride. Jump ahead and you can also see stuff about aspartame and a map showing that almost all land on this continent is planned to be off-limits to humans, who will be herded into compact, crowded living quarters in a small handful of cities.

Summerops, it goes deeper than that. The government is "strongly recommending" that our kids drink dihydrogen oxide, despite the fact that it is linked to deaths around the globe every year.

That stuff is so deadly. And it seems every campaign to warn against it eventually just dries up. Obviously muzzled by TPTB.

I don't know how accurate this is, but I heard a friend of my auntie's cousin's neighbour, say that many of the people that tragically died in the Titanic disaster in 1912, well, they didn't die from hitting the iceberg but rather from dihydrogen oxide inhalation from the noxious substance coming up through the lower decks.

My guess is that they were secretly transporting it to the US below decks for use in the Pennsylvanian squirrel mines.

I've heard that too. Although it was from my uncle's second-cousin's housekeeper's adopted daughter. What a diabolical plot, as those poor folks way down there thought it was something as harmless as coal gas.

True.

Later shipments aboard the Olympic and Britannic were successfully delivered and were in part responsible for the horrible Johnstown, Pennsylvania disaster.

Remaining supplies of dihydrogen oxide were later transported across Pennsylvania and employed during the notorious and tragic Philadelphia experiment.

Below: the astounding effect of uncontrolled dihydrogen oxide on the quaint little village of Johnstown. WARNING: not for the faint of heart!

In Hartlepool a town on the Tees Estuary, their water supply used to come from deep boreholes, the water was naturaly flouridated.

Water fluoridation is an interesting subject. here is one fact that is indisputable:
adding it to the water amounts to 'mass medication' of the general population.

so what are the real benefits of this medication? and are there really any bad side effects?

well.. Scientific America had an interesting article a while back
http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?id=...ts-on-fluoride which outlined the most recent research on the effects of sodium hexafluorosilicate or hexafluorosilicic acid on the human body. (the two most common chemicals used to treat water in the USA.)

in short, the research suggests that fluoride works by killing bacteria that cause cavities and ingestion of the fluoride has no value at all. There is research that even suggest that to much when taken internally can lead to disorders affecting teeth, bones, the brain and the thyroid gland.

A 2006 report by a committee of the National Research Council recommended that the federal government lower its current limit for fluoride in drinking water because of health risks to both children and adults.

This recommendation has been largely ignored.

It doesn't seem to have damaged the population of Hartlepool over the last couple of hundred years but they do have nice teeth.

Sabian, The very first sentence in your cite says "risky if over used". Name something that isn't.
