At the beach last week, I spotted several small, getlatinous creatures both in the ocean anfd washed up on the ythe beach. Does any one konow what these might be?

Hmm... The shape is interesting.
Had you not found them on the beach, you might be describing the infamous Gelatinous Cube more commonly found in the dungeons of ninth graders. You might have also ran into some really, really small Cthulu. Or it could be related to this, seen here in its natural environment.
