Default We Will Remember You "Maksutov"

I wish I could put flowers on your grave,
or kiss you goodbye in the regular way.
We'll never talk about what maybe,
laid on the sofa or watching TV.
My days are all empty,
my nights dark and long,
but my memories of you will still carry on.
You filled me with laughter,
between sorrows and woes,
Paul I will miss you, like nobody knows.
We made plans together, whatever it took,
the things that you sent me, I will always take a look.
My heart is all broken , because you've been taken away,
I promise you "MAK" your not forgotten from this very day.

Chrissy xxx

Mak, no...

You will be missed.

It´s hard to believe. I´m sad and out of words.

Rest in peace dear fellow.

No words are coming. This is shocking and saddening.

I'll miss you, Mak.

I'd rather laugh with the sinners
than cry with the saints;
The sinners are much more fun...

You know that only the good die young...

Gonna miss you big time, Mak.

Save me a seat near the fire, won't you?

Maksutov had been unwell for some time, and when he wasn't on IM with me or joined us on Saturday for yet another "AVATAR CHANGE" I started to get worried about him , calling on some people here to help me locate his address, I should have changed my job to Chrissy PI, as Mak always called me.

Thanks Mugs for helping me in every way possible without you I wouldn't have known .

Mak was taken into hospital last Monday and passed away last night.

I miss you and cherished every moment I knew you , our jokes your laughter, you were so funny.

I'm sorry I am crying again.

This is a bit of a shocker- when I saw the thread title- I didn't want to open the thread fearing the worst.
Sadly, the worst was realized.
He managed to bring peculiar humor at oddball times and although for the majority of my time on BAUT (though not at the end) he and I didn't get along, I still enjoyed most of his posts. Glad we made peace though.

Mak got into my monkey sphere and I'm truly saddened. He had a long history and a lot of accomplishments in his life.

"A man is not dead while his name is still spoken" - Terry Pratchett
This is why we invented the afterlife. Not for our own fear, though that is strong. But for our grief at the loss of the most precious thing in the universe.
A mind, a soul, a spirit, are gone forever. Loosed on the wind, never to return. The memories and life of an utterly unique individual, are lost now to the world. Beauty has been destroyed, a work of art like no other. And there will be no other. For a brief point, less then a glimmer in in the slow winking eye, the long beating heart of the universe, Paul Zukauskas lived and breathed and had being. He was matter that knew itself, and the world can bestow no greater gift. He danced until he did not, enriching the lives of those around him. I knew him as Maksutov, and but for a little time. If I am wrong, and there is another dance, I am sure he will dance it well. But if there is not, let us waltz forth in remembrance, until we too take our rest.

From ancient patterns,
Sprung one we will remember,
Till we are but thought.

We are lost in the void that is left,
your larger than life character was the best,
Althoug you have gone you shall live on,
In the memory you gave full of zest.
Your voice in the whispering wind,
your energy in the sparkling dew,
you touched the life of so many
and none will ever forget you.

I miss you Big guy!

Mak seemed interested in everything, but his love was music, especially Mahler. Difficult and complex and rewarding if you listen closely. Somewhat like Mak himself.

I wish I could upload one that he had sent me, or one I knew he liked from the pipe music I had sent him.
I am not sure if I could, it would be a fitting tribute for him.

Today, I would have slipped the surley bonds... But today, my heart was too heavy for my wings.

I'll miss the joy, insight, and wit you brought to the board, along with you kindness, caring, and thoughtful understanding.

May you find all that you seek. I'd loan you my wings to help you on your way, but I hear you've got a much better pair of your own.
