In fact an MRI performed about six weeks ago showed "old" strokes (doctor's words) that may explain some of the difficulty Kaptain K was having when recovering from diverticulitis surgery in '07. He is weaker on his right side than his left, and has uncontrollable tremors in his right hand and foot. They're still functional, just not very. He is having physical therapy and speech therapy every weekday, working on his mobility and cognitive function. He will be under medical care as long as he is unable to care for himself, and we don't have any idea how long that will be.
He will tell you that he doesn't feel as smart as he did before this occurrence, but he's still plenty with it in the brains department. I'm waiting for DonnieB's laptop to show up so that the Kaptain can log on and tell you all about it himself.

Brother Paul,

Please continue to give Kaptain K all of our best. It sounds like he may have a long road ahead, but every one of his virtual friends on BAUT are cheering him on.

What Swift said. I've had relatives in a roughly similar situation. Keep your chin up, Kaptain! It WILL get better.

Get well soon, Kaptain K! And thanks Paul for taking the time to update us. I may not be one of his long time personal BAUT friends (yet?) but I wish him well. Looking forward to seeing his name in the 'newest reply' column again!

Just got through talking to the Kapt. He says he has some challenges to overcome. Physical torture, I mean, physical therapy everyday. He should be online soon thanks to Donnie B. I told him about all your well wishes!

Even if we don't show it often enough.

A lot of times I'll send a "possibly" questionable post to Henrik for moderator approval and he'll come back with, "I dunno, would you send this to Tinaa?" And after I blush at the thought I'll say, "you have a point..."

So you don't mind if I tell of the time I was going to be stabbed by three Asian tranny ladyboys who were really mad at me? After I applied the "Tinaa filter" I realized it may be too riske for a family board even using "vague terms and analogies". That was one.

Perhaps a bit spicy for the board.

You're not alone. I'd expect to mind, simply from the description.

Thanks to his brother, when I heard that he is ok now, I am wishing him an immediate recovery.

Take care Kaptain K, everything will be ok.
