Default LRO paper model

Even though I'm on vacation, I always take a few models to work on. Since today marked LRO going into orbit around the moon, I thought I'd do something to commemorate the event.

Where did you get the label, that's an infringement. I've reported you to the CIA, NASA, BAUT, I kid, I kid.
Nice model.

And downstate a bit, while inside dodging the heat - here's something that I could put together in between bits of digital paperwork. The Kepler paper model includes the support spider for the detectors, and with a bit of clear plastic you can mimic the Schmidt correcting lens. I drew the line at the optional instructions for vacuum-shapong sheet aluminum to mach the curve of the primary mirror.

There really is a marvelous assortment of paper kits for spacecraft available out there. I tend to save the files as I find them, since these things do occasionally disappear from the web. I've used Cassini and Deep Impact in classes and public talks, and Kepler may yet be useful for that as well. But these won't fly...
